“Adhering to its original purpose to provide shelter to units in harsh planetary environments, the Bastion has no offensive capabilities, but it does have a tremendous capacity for absorbing our assaults and blocking our line of sight. It is, in essence, a walking fortress wall.”
Singleton[1]

The Bastion is a Goo heavy ground unit. The Bastion is a moving wall that blocks the enemy’s line of sight and provides a shield for other units.[2]

Background[]

Since the Bastion's conception, it has been focused on the defense and protection of other vital Goo units. What it lacks in offensive armament, it more than makes up for in size and intimidation.

Originally meant to scare potential predators from attacking vulnerable Goo, the Bastion continues that same mantra of defense to this day. Some Beta claim it has mind-control powers that force enemies to become hostile against it. These are mere rumors and are currently unsubstantiated.

Overview[]

A moving wall that blocks the enemy’s line of sight and provides a shield for other units. Their imposing presence can cause fear and disorder among enemy ranks, causing units to target them above more important, softer targets.

Tips[]

  • Line up several Bastions in a row to create a wall your enemies cannot see past.
  • Bastions force enemies to attack them unless specifically told to target other units.
  • The Bastion’s large bulk can be used to push smaller enemy units away from your troops or into danger.
